  黄三文,研究员,博士生导师,中国农业科学院农业基因组研究所所长,经济作物的全基因组设计育种团队首席科学家。曾获得国家重大人才项目资助,担任国家“973”项目首席科学家,被评为全国农业科研杰出人才、“百千万”人才工程“有突出贡献中青年专家”,先后获得周光召基金会基础科学奖、国家自然科学奖二等奖、何梁何利基金会科学与技术进步奖、大北农科技奖-基因工程奖,全国创新争先奖、深圳市长奖、深圳经济特区建立40周年创新创业人物和先进模范人物。在Nature, Cell, Science, Nature Genetics, Molecular Plant等国际期刊发表学术论文110余篇,累计引用12000余次。

  团队研究方向

  围绕着经济作物育种领域的重大科学问题,以番茄、马铃薯、黄瓜等经济作物为主要研究对象,通过多重组学综合性研究手段,对其驯化历史及重要农艺性状进行解析,通过全基因组设计育种培育优质种质资源。(1)发起“优薯计划”, 旨在利用基因组设计育种将马铃薯由四倍体无性繁殖作物驯化成二倍体种子繁殖作物, 变革马铃薯的育种和繁殖方式;(2)通过多重组学分析指导高品质番茄育种;(3)瓜类基因组研究及重要农艺性状分析。

 

  研究进展

  优薯计划取得阶段性进展,目前已通过基因组编辑解决了二倍体马铃薯的自交不亲和问题,首次全面分析了马铃薯自交衰退的遗传基础,培育了第一代自交系。并成功组装了二倍体马铃薯基因组序列,揭示了杂合马铃薯等位基因的序列和表达调控差异。这些研究为培育二倍体自交系铺平了道路,为马铃薯杂种优势利用提供了理论基础(Nat Plants 2018;Nat Genet 2019;Nat Genet 2020)。合作构建了番茄果实品质研究的多组学平台,解析了育种改变番茄果实代谢组的过程,阐明了番茄风味的化学和遗传基础,为风味育种提供了解决方案,研究成果发表于Cell(2018)和Science(2017),并分别入选2019年和2017年中国农业科学重大进展。构建了甜瓜和西瓜的全基因组变异图谱,揭示了两种水果的驯化历史及果实品质的遗传分子机制,两项研究成果分别发表于Nature Genetics(2019)。

  Sanwen Huang,research Professor, Doctoral Advisor, Director General of Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen (AGIS), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), chief scientist of the whole-genome design breeding team of cash crops. He was funded by the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, served as the chief scientist of the National "973" project, selected as the outstanding talent of the "10 Thousand Talents Program" and " Young Expert with Outstanding Contribution " in the multi-million talent project. He won the Zhou Guang Zhao Foundation Award (Basic Sciences), National Natural Science Award of China (Second Prize), Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, DaBeiNong Science and Technology Award-Genetic Engineering Technology Award, The 2nd National Innovation Competition Award, Shenzhen Mayor Award, Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, 40 Innovative and entrepreneurial advanced models in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. He has more than 110 publications in international journals i.e. Nature, Cells, Science, Natural Genetics, Molecular Plants, etc., and has been cited more than 10,000 times.

  Research Interest

  Our group focuses on major scientific questions on cash crop breeding and uses tomato, potato, cucumber, and other cash crops as the main research objects. Through comprehensive research methods of multi-omics, we reveal domestication history and important agronomic traits of cash crops and cultivate high-quality germplasm resources by whole-genome design breeding. (1) lanched the “Upotato Plan”, which aims to transform potato from a clonally propagated, tetraploid crop to a true-seed-propagated, diploid crop; (2) Whole-genome design breeding of high-quality tomatoes guided by multi-omics analysis; (3) Genome research and analysis of important agronomic traits of melons.

  

  Major Achievements

  The “Upotato Plan” has made gradual progress, at present, the self-incompatibility problem of diploid potato has been solved by genome editing, the genetic basis of potato self-inbreeding decline has been comprehensively analyzed for the first time, and the first generation of inbred lines has been bred. We successfully assembled the diploid potato genome sequence and revealed the differences in the sequence and expression regulation of heterozygous potato alleles. These studies paved the way for the cultivation of diploid inbred lines and provided a theoretical basis for the utilization of potato heterosis (Nat Plants 2018; Nat Genet, 2019; Nat Genet 2020). We established a multi-omics platform for tomato fruit quality research with collaborators, revealed the domestication history of tomato fruit metabolome, and identified the chemical and genetic basis of tomato flavor, thus provided solutions for flavor breeding. These research results were published in Cell (2018) and Science (2017), and were selected as the major advances in Chinese agricultural science in 2019 and 2017, respectively. We constructed genome-wide variation maps of melon and watermelon, revealed the domestication history and the genetic molecular mechanism of fruit quality of the two kinds of fruits. These research results were published in Nature Genetics (2019), respectively.
