Cheng Zhao Lab


  赵程,研究员。2013年于武汉大学毕业,2018年获得美国德克萨斯农工大学博士学位,2018-2021年在美国斯坦福卡内基科学研究所从事博士后研究。长期从事基因组水平的代谢网络模型和植物合成生物学的研究。研究成果以第一作者身份发表在ACS Synthetic Biology和Green Chemistry等科学期刊,申请美国/国际专利1项。

  1. 以基因组水平的代谢网络模型为骨架,整合转录组、代谢组等多组学数据,模拟植物代谢过程,预测并验证目标代谢物的限制反应步骤;以模型为指导,设计和合成天然产物的代谢途径。

  2. 设计和建立细胞内人工细胞器,促进萜类等天然产物的合成。





  Cheng Zhao, Principle Investigator, obtained his bachelor degree from Wuhan University in 2013 and his Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University in 2018. Then he joined the Carnegie Institution for Science at Stanford as a postdoctoral fellow from 2018 to 2021. His research focuses on the genome-scale metabolic network model and plant synthetic biology. Papers have been published on ACS Synthetic Biology and Green Chemistry. He also applied for a patent.

  Research Interest

  1. We are interested in developing genome-scale metabolic network model as the framework, integrating transcriptomic data and metabolomic data, to predict and validate the limiting reactions in plant metabolism; We are also interested in the rational design of natural products biosynthesis pathways, with the aids of the genome scale metabolic model.

  2. Design and implement artificial organelles in vivo, to improve the biosynthesis of natural products, such as terpenes and terpenoids.
