Computing Platform

  The computing platform began to be built from 2014. After four phases of construction, the current computing peak is 150 tflops, and the total storage capacity is 5.5 pb, including more than 3,000 CPU cores, total memory capacity is more than 30 t, the current storage data is 2.5 pb, the number of files exceeded 200 million. In 2019, the platform's overall CPU utilization was up to 80%, which is open to all researchers.

     Functions

  (1) Three functional regions are defined according to the memory allocation of the nodes, among which the nodes with more than 1t memory can be used for the assembly of large complex genomes, and the common node regions can be used for the analysis of gene data and phenotype data.

  (2) Storage resource partition adopts “common storage + distributed parallel storage” mode, storage partition provides huge storage space for gene database.

  (3) 56Gb/s Infiniband FDR provides up to 30000 IOPS/s and more than 20Gb/s of aggregate bandwidth for storage.

  (4) The computing platform provides cloud computing service through the interconnection mode of telecommunication and mobile double-dedicated lines.
