By detecting the subgenomic RNA of SARS-CoV-2, an activity-based detection strategy of SARS-CoV-2 named CRPR-actcov was developed. The CRISPR-actcov strategy utilizes the CRISPR/Cas12a assisted fluorescence reporter system for rapid, highly specific, and detectable nucleic acid testing, which provides an alternative method for the rapid and accurate detection of active viruses, and is of great significance for better dealing with the epidemic.
