Shenzhen Science and Technology Program

This project is found by Science, Technology and innovation commission of Shenzhen municipality. The aim of this founding is to develop novel technology to control the pest in environmental-friendly way by functional genomics.

1. Sequencing and assembly the high-quality of pest genome.

2. Identifying the critical genes in pest specific biological process, eg. olfactory behavior or metamorphosis, as the molecular targets.

3. Developing target-based pest controlling technology such as Insect behavioral modifying chemicals. or RNAi pesticides
