In recent years, the research group has made a series of breakthrough original achievements in the field of theoretical and technical innovation of plastid-mediated RNAi for pest control:

1. Established a new strategy based on plastid-mediated RNAi and elucidate the features of RNAi molecules involved in pest control;

2. Elucidating the mechanism of synergistic role of the gut microbia in environmental RNAi;

3. Systematically verified the effectiveness and efficiency of plastid-mediated RNAi technology in control of different pests species.
