Chang's laboratoryfocuses on studying insect social behaviors with an emphasis on understanding the mechanisms related to olfaction and gut microbiomes. Their research utilizes locusts and ants as model species to explore three specific areas: (1). Olfactory neuroethology of insect. (2). Social behaviors plasticity in the olfactory pathway. (3). Interactions between gut microbiomes and the insect brain.
The research group has 2 staff members, including 1 PI, 2 research assistant.
