Yuxiao Chang
Yuxiao Chang, Research Professor and Doctoral supervisor, excels in crop genetics and genomics. He is recognized as a Shenzhen Overseas High-level Talent and Young Talent of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is also visiting professor at Nankai University and Huazhong Agricultural University. Prof. Chang conducts teaching, research, and advancing crop genetics with independent genotyping technologies. His team has achieved significant milestones, pioneering the development of several groundbreaking high-throughput, cost-effective genotyping technologies including AIO-seq, FBI-seq, and iRAD-seq. The FBI-seq requires only a single primer to detect genotypes of foreground loci and large number of background loci for any given species. Over the past five years, Prof. Chang has led two National Natural Science Foundation projects, two municipal projects, and two sub-projects at the provincial/ministerial level. He is an editorial board member for BMC Plant Biology, and has published 12 papers in esteemed journals like Nature Communications, SCIENCE CHINA Life Sciences, and JIPB. He holds five invention patents, with several already in the process of industrial implementation.
