We proposed a novel approach that treated the continuous 256 bases as a mapping unit (kmer-bin-mapping, KBM) in computing to increase the speed of reads alignment, and developed algorithm WTDBG for long reads assembly with high efficiency, which realized the time-caust of data analysis less than that of data output for the first time.
