Haojing Shao Lab

Currently our group is dedicated to spatial transcriptomics research. We use spatial gene expression resolution strategies to measure total mRNA in complete tissue sections, combine the spatial information of total mRNA with morphological content, and map the locations where all gene expression occurs to obtain a complex and complete gene expression profile. The spatial locations of different genes and cell populations are utilized to explore biological issues such as gene and cell function, phenotype and tissue microenvironment, and development, and to construct 3D transcriptome models. In addition, our group is also committed to the exploration of species evolution and evolutionary relationships using information analysis and the development of new methodologies.
