1) Oil crop genomes and molecular breeding in castor
2) Multi-omics data integration and plant genome annotation tools based on machine learning frameworks
Qiang Lin: Qiang Lin received his PhD from Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. In April 2010, he went to Saudi Arabia, where, as one of the Chinese leaders, he presided over the completion of the China-Saudi date palm Genome Project, and participated in the Saudi 10,000 Human Genome Project, the red palm weevil Genome Project, the palm plant genome comparative Analysis Project and other projects. At the same time, he has participated in many domestic scientific research projects, such as the establishment of medical experimental mammalian model and basic data integration , Candlenut tree genome project, rubber genome project, etc. At present, most of the work is focused on the construction of plant genome annotation frameworks.
WanFei Liu: Dr. Wanfei Liu is currently focused on the research projects in genomics, transcriptomics, and bioinformatics, including (1) comparative genomics: DNA sequence, gene regulatory element, and other genomic structural element; (2)multiomics data integration and mining: integration analysis of genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, (3) Bioinformatics software and application development: sequence alignment, transcription construction, expression quantification, variant identification ; (4)Molecular biology database construction: genome resource, pathogenic microorganism, and other related database.
Bing He: Dr. Bing He, Associate Researcher, Master Supervisor, Shenzhen high-level talent. He came to AGIS for postdoctoral work from 2019-2021, and became an Associate Researcher of CAAS in 2022. Currently, he is mainly engaged in the fields of genome evolution and DNA functional element annotation in gymnosperms, multi-omics data integration in major oilseed crops, and plant alternative splicing and abiotic stress. In the past five years, he has led two provincial and ministerial projects and participated in two others. He has published 11 papers in journals such as Plant Cell, Nature Plants, Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics, Industrial Crops and Products, etc., of which 7 papers were published as first or corresponding author.
Wei Fan: Wei Fan , postdoctoral fellow in the Cui Peng group, engaged in research areas such as the molecular mechanisms of castor agronomic traits, population multi-omics data analysis, and genome annotation based on deep learning. His PhD research on genetic signatures of selection and agricultural traits-associated loci in Chinese castor lines was published in Nature Communications. . In the postdoctoral phase, a co-authored article titled "A Chromosome-level Assembly of A Wild Castor Genome Provides New Insights into the Adaptive Evolution in A Tropical Desert" was published in the journal Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics.
