Lianguang Shang, Principal Investigator, Doctoral Advisor. He received his Ph.D. in Crop Genetics and Breeding from China Agricultural University. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen (AGIS). His Lab is mainly focused on collecting global wild rice and cultivated rice germplasm resources, decoding various complex genomic variations, mining elite genes and breeding new rice cultivars. He has published more than 40 papers on high-impact international journals, including Cell Research (2022, cover story), Molecular Plant (2021, 2023), Nucleic Acids Research (2023), Trends in Plant Science (2022), Plant Biotechnology Journal (2021), Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (2023, 2024), Science Bulletin (2024), Plant Physiology (2023), etc. He was awarded as Shenzhen High-level Talents in October 2019 and the fellowship of China National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents. He was the winner of The Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province for Distinguished Young Scholars, and The Young Innovative Talent Support Program of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
