Guanjing Hu, Professor, PhD supervisor, Chief Scientist of the State Key Laboratory of Cotton Biology, Genome Research Center. Graduated from Peking University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree and graduated from Iowa State University in the United States in 2013 with a doctorate. From 2013 to 2020, she continued her research in the laboratory of Professor Jonathan F. Wendel in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology at Iowa State University, focusing on evolutionary genetics and functional genomics of cotton plants. She has published 34 SCI journal papers, including 13 as first or corresponding author, with a highest impact factor of 14.919 and a cumulative impact factor exceeding 70. She has been leading a National Natural Science Foundation of China project.  She also serves as an editorial board member for 2 international journals
