1.Collection of rice germplasm and identification of various complex genomic variants

1)Collecting global wild rice and cultivated rice germplasm resources

Based on rice morphological characteristics and genomic SNP variations, we collect and introduce representative wild and cultivated rice varieties from the world for preservation and propagation.

2)Decoding various complex genomic variants

Based on the rice super-pangenome, we decode complex genomic variations, including inversion, tandem duplication, and methylation, in rice populations.

2.Mining elite genes and breeding new rice cultivars

We focus on mining elite alleles of yield and stress resistance genes from wild rice, and breed new rice cultivars by pyramiding multiple complex traits.
