Qian Wu
Qian Wu, pre-PI, master student advisor, Qian Wu received her Ph.D degree in Peking University in 2015. In 2016, she moved to University of Lausanne in Switzerland as a postdoc, where she started to work on long distance signaling in plants. She joined AGIS in 2021 as a pre-PI. Her main research interest falls into dissecting how plants/crops generate and coordinate systemic (long distance) defense responses when challenged under unfavorable conditions. The expertise underlying the research is multidisciplinary covering molecular genetics, plant physiology (especially non-invasive and invasive electrophysiology), cell biology, in combination with multi-omics and machine learning modeling. As (co-) first or (co-) corresponding author, she has published in leading journals including Plant Cell, New Phytologist, Plant Physiology, Plant Journal and Journal of Experimental Botany.
