Li Wang, principal investigator, doctoral advisor. She received her Ph.D. in Plant Evolution from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. She subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Texas Tech University, Iowa State University, and University of California at Davis, respectively. Her Lab is mainly focused on the evolutionary metabolome of medicinal plants and is committed to exploring the molecular and evolutionary mechanism of biosynthetic pathways of effective components in medicinal plants. She has published a series of papers on high-impact international journals, including PNAS, Science Advances, Horticulture Research, The Plant Journal, Genome Biology, Molecular Biology and Evolution, Science China Life Science, New Phytologist, Plant Communications, etc. She was awarded as Shenzhen Overseas High-level Talents  in October 2019.
