He mainly works on three espects: 1. plant metabolomics technology development and metabolomics data analysis methods based on AI-tools. 2. high-value chemical production from agriculture wasts by rational designed bacterial consortia based on synthetic biology strategy. 3. multi-omics analysis to discovery the key chemical foundation of crop phenotype. He has led or worked as key members in five programs from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology and provincial and municipal level fundings. He has published more than 20 scientific papers , such as Nature Plants, Cell Discovery, ASC Nano, Bioresource Technology, Science China Life Sciences and etc, and filed 6 patents.

    • Bo Wang :Associate Researcher at the Agricultural Synthetic Biology Center. I obtained a PHD from the South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Guangdong Institute of Microbiology. My main research field is synthetic biology, including research on the biosynthesis of plant natural products, the discovery of marine microbial natural products and biosynthesis mechanism. I have hosted one Youth fund of national natural science and one National Key R&D Program of China sub project, and participated in 17 scientific research projects. I have published a total of 26 scientific research papers (16 SCI papers), and 4 SCI papers with me as the first author. I also participated in applying for 3 patents and obtained 2 authorizations. I am currently a member of the Chinese Society of Biotechnology and a reviewer for International Biomedication & Biodegradation. I have been honored with the titles of "Shenzhen high-level professional talent (reserve level)"(Shenzhen), "Wu Tong Phoenix" Class C talent (Yantian District, Shenzhen)", and “Peng Cheng Elite Talents" (Dapeng New District, Shenzhen).

Postdoc:
    • Pengjun Lu: Educational Background2013.9-2018.6 Zhejiang University, Ph. D of Horticulture (Fruit Science); Working Experience2018.6-present Postdoc Agricultural Synthetic Biology Center, AGIS, CAAS; Research InterestOptimizing prime editing system for plant breedingMechanism of DNA repair in plantsDeveloping CRISPR-based tools for manipulating metabolic pathway in synthetic biology.

    • Guiqi Bi: Motivated and detail-oriented research fellow with nine years of expertise in algal functional genomics, plant genomics, and organelle genomic phylogenomics. Recognized for extensive publications on organelle genome assembly, analysis methods, and contributions to plant genome assembly and method development. Currently immersed in the realm of gymnosperm genomics, actively driving the development and optimization of genomic assembly pipelines, including a specific emphasis on organelle genomes.

    • Jiaming Li: Dr. Jiaming Li, graduated with a Ph.D. from Northeast Agricultural University in 2021, is currently engaged in postdoctoral research at the Institute of Agricultural Genomics, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, under the supervision of Professor Jianbin Yan. Dr. Li's research revolves around tobacco, a crucial synthetic biology model organism. Using various techniques such as genomics, variationomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, molecular biology, and synthetic biology, he has been instrumental in constructing the T2T genome and metabolic regulatory maps for tobacco. His work aims to decipher the regulatory patterns of metabolite synthesis and develop efficient tobacco-based synthetic factories.

    • Chuchu Qin: Chuchu Qin is a postdoctoral researcher in Jianbin Yan’s lab at AGIS-CAAS. Dr. Qin obtained a BS and a MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry, specializing in Analytical Instrumentation Development. She has broad experience in developing ultra-sensitive physical sensors based on optical/thermal/electrical effects and in applying such sensors in quantitative measurements in chemistry and biology. Since joining the AGIS-CAAS, she has been working on a plant-based bidirectional transducer and its applications in plant electrophysiology and green agriculture. As of early 2024, Dr. Qin has published six papers and has acquired one US patent.

    • Jiangjiang Zhang: Dr. Jiangjiang Zhang majored in genome assembly and population genetics. Current research is focused on assembling the ultra-large-scale genome and developing new protocols and methods to deal with it that leverage the difficult of assembling and analyzing ultra-large-scale genome. Of course, he is also interested in the application of bioinformatics to the study of population genetics.  An analysis of the origin and evolution of garlic has been completed. He is a highly motivated and experienced researcher with a strong track record of success. He was passionate about using my skills to make a positive impact on the world; Strong command of programming languages: Perl, R, and Shell scripting; Experience with high-throughput sequencing data analysis (e.g., Illumina, PacBio).

    • Shengchao Liu: Dr. Shengchao Liu, received a Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University in 2022 and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen. He mainly focus on exploring the molecular regulation mechanism of paclitaxel biosynthesis, as well as reconstructing the biosynthetic pathways of taxane in tobacco.

    • Shaoxing Bai: Dr. Bai received his B Sc. from Ningxia University in 2010, M Sc. from Ningxia University in 2014, and Ph. D from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2022. Dr. Bai had postdoctoral research experience at AGIS since 2023. Dr. Bai’s current research is focused on the genomics of plant and discovery of bioactive natural products from plant and natural product biosynthesis.
