Wang lab is mainly focused on the evolutionary metabolome of medicinal plants and exploration of the molecular and evolutionary mechanisms of biosynthetic pathways of effective components in medicinal plants.
The group includes 1 assistant researcher, 3 postdoctoral fellows, 2 research assistants, 6 Ph.D. students, and 5 MSc. students.
Cheng Li: Cheng Li received his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2019. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Genomics, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and now he is an assistant researcher in Prof. Li Wang's group. He is mainly focused on plant evolutionary genomics and evolution of secondary metabolic pathways in medicinal plants.
Shichao Sun: Shichao Sun received her Ph.D. degree from Shihezi University in 2020, and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Genomics, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Her research interests are in population genomics of maize and medicinal plants.
Bao Nie: Bao Nie obtained his Ph.D. Degree in Ecology from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Genomics, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is mainly focused on the origin and evolutionary of metabolic pathway of natural products in Apiaceous medicinal plants.
Xiaoli Liu: Xiaoli Liu obtained her Ph.D. degree from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2021 and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Genomics, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
